A brief history of...
Having been the sport of a small number of daredevils, kajaking has changed dramatically thanks to modern equipment, better training and an intense international exchange of experience. It’s nowadays a popular outdoor sport, which can be done by everybody who likes watersports.
In contrast to a lot of other popular sports, kajaking is very closely linked to a natural environment. It’s this considerate and gentle contact to natural beauties such as gorges, canyons and rivers (and their fauna and flora) that appeals to so many kajakers.
Kajaking is of course an extreme sport, too. All over the world young athletes paddle harder and more difficult whitewater than ever. In order to offer a competitive event to these people, we have organized the second international Kaiserklamm-Trophy for the very tough.
